A man has shared his painful story of betrayal after his wife secretly sent herself Ksh 247000 via M-Pesa from his phone before leaving him without warning.
Philion Bulegeya said the incident changed his life and left him struggling to start again.Bulegeya recalled coming home one day only to find the house empty.
His wife had taken all household items and disappeared without a trace.
He was left with only his clothes and a basin.
Along with the household goods, she allegedly transferred his savings through Mpesa to her own account before leaving.
Ten months later, Bulegeya has spoken about his journey to recovery.
He now lives in a small but well-furnished house with a bed, fridge and utensils.
The change shows how far he has come after a very dark period in his life.
Bulegeya said that he was doing well and thanked God, adding that life continues even after such incidents.He explained that he went through many challenges and a very difficult time and that it took him a while to recover.
He confirmed that he had moved into another place and said that good Samaritans supported him until he was back on his feet.
He revealed that he tried to look for his wife after she left but failed.
He later chose to forgive her and move on.
He said that he had fully forgiven her and given her his blessings, adding that if she wanted to return, it was too late because he had opened a new chapter in his life.
Bulegeya now works as an online taxi driver and says income is not stable.
Despite everything, he remains hopeful and open to love again with a focused woman who is ready for marriage and family life.
