In a distressing surge of spousal tragedies, the recent incident surrounding Zambian musician Nathan Mithi, a member of the renowned music group Ghetto Link, has left the world in shock. Mithi, allegedly driven to take his own life, laid bare his struggles and accused his wife, Sabby Phiri, of infidelity, unravelling a tale of heartbreak and betrayal.
The artist, in a poignant Facebook note, revealed the torment that led to his drastic decision, accusing his wife of engaging in extramarital affairs and even alleging incidents witnessed on their matrimonial bed. Mithi compiled a list of 15 men whom he claimed his wife had been involved with, prominently featuring Chief Government Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa as the first name. However, Mweetwa vehemently denied the accusations, labelling them baseless and accusing critics of fabricating the story.
The heart-wrenching note continued as Mithi narrated alleged instances of catching his wife in intimate acts with other men on their marital bed, including a young relative and a landlord, whom he insulted in the post.
