The comedian and the actor Duncan Ochonjo who breathed his las breath weeks ago was laid to rest today at his home ground in Luo Nyanza. The comedian died while under medication in Kiambu hospital a week after being readmitted. According to the reports he died due to liver failure. Yesterday on Friday 26th may his body was transported home from Chiromo funeral Home.
Together with the funeral organizing committee, fellow comedians arranged for various online fundraising collecting finds to cater for his funeral program. Different groups from TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and other social media platforms collected funds to grant Ochonjo a good send off. However drama and bitter exchange was wa witnessed on Thursday night vigil before the procession to Ochonjo’s home.

Mike wako who was closely working with Duncan Ochonjo clashed with Sandra Dacha with Sandra Dacha claiming Mike wako had abandoned Ochonjo in time of need. Mike wako was defending himself From the allegations before Dacha cut his speech telling him not to lie in public. it took the intervention of other friends available to cool them down.
Today at the burial back home, mike wako brought forward team TikTok to give their tributes. While giving his speech, Mike wako said that he could want to address the issue that Ochonjo had no family, he called forth one lady and requested the mourners to give her a chance to express herself. The lady who introduced herself as Ann Ogoro said she was Ochonjo’s wife and the had been blessed with one kid. Immediately the mourners went wild others in confusion for they understood that Ochonjo had not married and he had no family.

The Lady went further to introduce fellow young comedian Onsongo as their “son” with Ochonjo. However it was a scripted joke that caught many in surprise. The lady was just explaining how they made a family of comedies and acting with Onchojo “giving birth ” to Onsongo as the young comedian.
