DC Juaja

The mysterious abduction and brutal assault of Juja MP George Koimburi has shaken Kenya’s political landscape, raising fresh alarm over the safety of elected leaders. Emerging details suggest Koimburi was not only kidnapped but also subjected to calculated torture and exposure to a toxic chemical agent.

According to Party Leader of the Democratic For Citizens Party (DCP), Rigathi Gachagua, the MP’s attackers used an airborne chemical substance that damaged his vocal cords. As a result, Koimburi is currently unable to speak and remains in critical condition at a Nairobi hospital.

Koimburi disappeared during a church function last weekend. He was later found abandoned near a coffee plantation in Kibichoi, Ruiru, bearing extensive soft tissue injuries. Medical assessments point to injuries consistent with structured and professional torture methods.

The attack has triggered widespread condemnation across the political divide. Legislators and civil rights advocates have jointly called for a swift and transparent investigation. There is growing concern that the incident could mark a disturbing trend of politically motivated violence.

Security agencies are under pressure to act quickly. The chemical substance used in the attack has yet to be identified, complicating the probe and heightening public anxiety. Experts are now involved in analyzing biological samples to determine the nature of the agent and its long-term health effects.

Koimburi’s family and supporters are demanding justice, as speculation swirls over the motive behind the attack. Some leaders warn that failure to hold perpetrators accountable could embolden similar assaults in the future.
