Oga and DCP

Kenyan media personality Oga Obinna has finally broken his silence following swirling rumors that he fled the country after the tragic killing of Father John Maina Ndegwa — and his response is sending shockwaves across social media.

The buzz began when online users noted Obinna’s sudden absence from public events and social platforms shortly after the shocking death of Father Maina, a prominent priest known for his fiery sermons and close ties to political figures. Speculation intensified due to the fact that both Obinna and the late Father Maina had recently shared platforms with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, raising eyebrows among netizens.

But Obinna isn’t taking the accusations lightly.

In a fiery Instagram video posted on Monday, the comedian-turned-commentator set the record straight. “I have not left the country. I’m right here, and I have nothing to hide,” he declared. “It’s unfortunate that people want to tie me to something so tragic simply because of an event I attended with Father Maina and Gachagua.”

He added that he was deeply saddened by the loss of the priest, whom he described as “a man of wisdom and peace.”

Obinna also hinted at possible political undertones behind the accusations. “When you speak the truth and challenge certain powers, these kinds of things start to happen. But I will not be intimidated.”

As the investigation into Father Maina’s mysterious killing continues, Obinna’s bold response has ignited a fresh wave of public debate. Is this a case of guilt by association, or something .
