Currently a number of police officers have camped at the official residence of governor of Trans Nzoia County, H.E. George Natembeya, in a mission to arrest him after obtaining warrant of arrest from EACC.

According to a post published online by Standard Media group journalist, Mate Tongola, he has highlighted that rowdy youths who have also camped at Natembeya’s residence, have deflated tyres of five vehicles belonging to DCI.

Photos doing rounds social media platforms, shows number of Trans Nzoia residents is increasing, making it difficult for DCI officers to carry on with the exercise of arresting the Trans Nzoia boss.

In his caption, Tongala has added saying, the act of rowdy youths deflating tyres of the above mentioned five vehicles, is to make it impossible for DCI officers to leave with Natembeya, should they manage to arrest him.

Additionally, Hon. Eugene Wamalwa, party leader of DAP-K, is at the scene, trying to reason with DCI officers. Apart from the said youths deflating tyres of the said five vehicles belonging to DCI officers, they have also been spotted lighting fire just outside the gate of Natembeya’s residence.

It’s a situation that has currently attracted mixed reactions from netizens. A faction of Kenyans online especially who resides in Trans Nzoia, have published on their socials, condemning DCI officers for trying to arrest governor Natembeya.
