Renowned and controversial UDA nominated Member of Parliament in Kenya’s Senate Gloria Orwoba has addressed controversial claims that she is in a relationship with former Ghanaian President John Kufuor who is eighty six ( 86 ) years old.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with TV 47, the moderator asked the Senator to explain why she ( the moderator ) has sometimes heard persons call her “Ghana”. “When I sometimes do my reporting inside Parliament, I hear some individuals refer to you as Ghana, tell me why,” she paused.
“We have seen close photos of you with the former president. Does your child belong to that family,” she asked. Responding to the question, Senator Orwoba gave it a wide berth and dismissed the allegations stating that she also has taken close photos with other famous individuals and people have never linked them to her love life.
“I have also taken close photos with Nigerian statesman Olusegun Obasanjo. I have also taken photos with the English Prince, Harry. People have never called them ‘my husbands’. Why is this one special,” she questioned.
She went on to reveal that Ghana has been and is part of her life. “I have lived and worked in Ghana. I also studied in Ghana. My child is in Ghana, he is half Ghanaian. My child is theirs. It is my second home ,” she said.
During the interview, she disclosed that she will easily relocate to Ghana if Kenyans reject her. Note that she is seeking to be elected as Bobasi Member of Parliament in the much awaited 2027 elections.
