The national police service (NPS) has announced a new recruitment procedure for those interested in joining the service.According to reports from NPS,the government will now use a Digital recruitment system.Previously the police service would set a specific recruitment day all over the country.Applicants were asked to turn up with their official documents in stations mostly stadiums for enrollment.

 

The applicants were supposed to run for some kilometers,documents would be manually verified by officers and those shortlisted required to undergo a medical test.This saw thousands turning up in a station with only a handful picked.However this will no longer be the case.Applicants will now be required to submit their documents online.The documents will be scanned and verified online.This includes authenticity of school certificates, identification cards and age.

Applicants are required to be aged 18-26,have a national Identification card and a minimum of D+ in KCSE.Those successful will be shortlisted online and a mail sent to them.They will be required to report to certain stations for medical tests and certificates for enrollment at Kiganjo police college.According to national police service,this will reduce corruption and create professionalism in the police service.
