Gospel singer and philanthropist Karangu Muraya has stirred a social media storm after surprising his first wife, Triza Njeri, with a brand-new Nissan X-Trail a major upgrade from her modest Mazda Demio.

The gift, delivered just days after the couple appeared together dancing joyfully at her album launch, signals what many see as a reconciliation effort in a marriage that has weathered public tension and private heartache.

The symbolic gesture appears to be Karangu’s way of leveling the playing field between Triza and his second wife, Carol Kim, who owns a Toyota Harrier.

Triza had previously aired grievances about perceived favoritism, a complaint echoed by fans who felt the first wife deserved equal if not better treatment.

By gifting her an SUV of similar stature, Karangu may be attempting to correct that imbalance while sending a strong message about unity and fairness in polygamous households.

Triza took to Facebook to share her elation. “Nimefurahia sana,” she wrote, revealing her heartfelt joy at finally receiving what she considers a sign of being seen and appreciated.

“Mama Muraya si gari zote ni zangu, hakuna ya mtu,” she added humorously, suggesting she now feels equally valued.

Karangu responded with affection, acknowledging her sacrifices: “You made me a father. I must make you happy.”

Social media responses were swift and diverse. While some applauded Karangu for making amends, others questioned whether material gestures alone could mend deeper emotional rifts in a polygamous setting.

A fan commented, “First wife should always be a step ahead,” while another wrote, “Roho imekutoka, but hiyo gift nitakubali.”

The move has sparked broader conversations about modern polygamy, the emotional economy of blended families, and how public figures manage relationships in the limelight.

While it’s unclear if the gesture marks full reconciliation, it certainly suggests that love, when backed by action, still speaks volumes even in households shared by more than one heart.
