The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers are hunting down an online sensation, influencer and socialite identified as Monica Gichinga after she allegedly conned an influential city politician.
The woman allegedly stole KSh500,000 from the influential politician.
On her Instagram page, she is known as _nimu and parades herself as an influencer dealing with different brands and topics.
She has fashioned herself as a commercial model, Digital Marketer, Brand influencer and Events Marketer on social media taking and posing in photos that she apparently uses to persuades brands to use her to market their respective products.
“Nimu was trailed by DCI sleuths over the weekend to Kericho Golf Course where she was with one James Waihenya who is also a suspected conman,” said the complainant.
According to the politician, the socialite narrowly escaped the police dragnet and is now on the run.
The public has been warned against engaging with her while at the same time, they have been urged to report to the police if they spot her.
