Detectives have revealed how Isaac Kuria, the man behind the killing of late MP Charles Were, arrived at Parliament before heading to the crime scene where he shot the lawmaker.
He arrived near Parliament with a motor vehicle before riding a motorbike to pick him up. He followed the later MP Charles Were’s car before spraying it with bullets, killing the MP.
Further, he escaped from Nairobi and travelled to Isebania. Where he was arrested together with his brother, who has been identified as Chege
Detectives confirmed that Isaac Kuria’s step sister was behind the arrangements and wanted to help Kuria to flee to the neighbouring country, Tanzania.
The name of Kuria’s step sister has not been revealed yet.
“Preliminary analysis of evidence: the respondent was traced and arrested while in the company of his brother Gideon Chege Bake at a hotel in Isebania at the border of Kenya and Tanzania in Migori County while waiting to be taken to Tanzania by his stepsister. He was then transferred to Nairobi and booked at Kasarani Police Station on May 9 at 1810 hours,” some statement from the source read.
This just came in after Kenyans were left shocked after the MP was shot dead by the alleged Kuria.
Kuria is currently in a police station, and he has been helping police officers with investigations.
More than 9 suspects have been arrested, and police officers are still searching for the mastermind who planned and paid the killers.
