Kenyan singer Kevin Bahati has once again found himself at the center of online drama – this time over a haircut that might not have happened.
The buzz began when Bahati, a die-hard Arsenal fan, publicly vowed to shave his dreadlocks if his team lost to PSG in the UEFA Champions League. Unfortunately for him, Arsenal fell 2-1 in the second leg, and fans were eager to see him fulfill his promise.
Bahati tried to play along. He shared a dramatic video where his wife Diana Marua stood over him with a pair of scissors, seemingly ready to snip off the locks. The next day, he posted a clip of a barber making a house visit, saying, “A man has to keep his word.” But here’s the catch: the video conveniently ends before the shaving begins.
To convince doubters, Bahati posted photos of himself sporting short hair. However, Kenyan fans were quick to spot something fishy. The latest picture he uploaded – showing him with his family – was already familiar to keen followers. They pointed out it had been shared before, only this time, his hair looked mysteriously altered.
Kenyans didn’t hold back.
“They badly edited the haircut. Fire the editor!” one user joked.
Another added, “How does your head shape keep changing?”
Others even claimed to have spotted him recently – dreadlocks still intact.
Diana Marua, never one to miss a chance for fun, teased her husband during the match and pretended to offer him blood pressure pills. Her playful antics only added to the amusement.
So, did Bahati really shave his hair? Most fans are calling it a poorly edited bluff – and having a field day with it.
