Tuju

A storm is brewing within the Ministry of Lands after the controversial auction of a high-profile property linked to former Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju. The auction, which drew national attention, is now reportedly haunting a senior official in the ministry — sparking whispers of backroom deals, political vendettas, and procedural irregularities.

According to sources close to the matter, the official is under scrutiny for allegedly fast-tracking the transfer process and greenlighting the sale without following proper legal channels. Insiders say the transaction has raised serious red flags within both the Lands Ministry and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), with calls for a full investigation gaining momentum.

Tuju, a well-known political figure and Cabinet-level advisor during former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration, had previously been entangled in legal battles over the multi-million-shilling property. Despite several court attempts to stall the auction, the property was eventually sold — under what critics now claim were “highly questionable circumstances.”

Photos circulating on social media, including those shared by journalist Zipporah Weru and the Ministry of Lands’ official Facebook page, show the property in question and raise further questions about who benefited from the auction and whether it was politically motivated.

While the Ministry of Lands has yet to issue a formal statement, insiders hint that a probe may be quietly underway — and the implicated official could soon be asked to step aside.
