Kenyan musician Stivo Simple Boy has announced his intention to contest the Member of County Assembly (MCA) seat for Kibera in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
Speaking passionately about his decision, the artist emphasized his desire to bring real change to the people of Kibera.
He stated that many leaders have failed to address the pressing needs of the community, particularly in the area of education support.
“I want to vie for the Kibera MCA seat in 2027 so that I can provide bursaries to the less fortunate and support students who are struggling,” said Stivo.
He pointed out that despite promises from past leaders, many bright and needy students in Kibera still lack access to education due to financial constraints.
If elected, he promised to make bursary distribution fair, transparent, and timely.
In addition to education, the singer plans to tackle the high unemployment rate among the youth in the area.
He believes that many young people in Kibera are talented and hardworking but lack opportunities to thrive.
“My goal is to create employment for the youth,” he explained. “I want to help them start small businesses and find jobs that can sustain their families.”
Stivo Simple Boy is known for his inspirational music and humble background, which has earned him a strong following, especially among the youth.
His entry into politics marks a new chapter in his journey of using his platform to make a difference.
As 2027 approaches, Stivo hopes to inspire more young people to take leadership roles and champion the needs of their communities.
