The growing insecurity in Kasipul, Homa Bay County, has caught the attention of the government following the brutal murder of General Evance Okoda, a well-known local figure.
Interior Principal Secretary Dr. Raymond Omollo addressed the community during a public gathering, strongly condemning the act of violence and assuring residents that the government is taking swift action to restore peace and order.
Dr. Omollo expressed deep concern over the rising crime in the region, stating that the government will not allow a few individuals to disrupt the lives of innocent citizens.
He warned those behind the violence that their time is running out and assured the public that the government is committed to bringing the perpetrators to justice.

While Dr. Omollo did not name specific individuals, his message was clear, with some locals interpreting his comments as a reference to Ong’ondo Were, the late Kasipul MP, whose name has been associated with the area’s recent unrest.
