The family of Daisy Cherop, a 22-year-old from Kaptien village in Nandi County, is mourning her tragic death following a gruesome road accident in Dubai.
Cherop had travelled to the United Arab Emirates in December 2024 in search of better opportunities and was full of hope for a brighter future abroad.
Her brother, Linus Kipng’etich, confirmed the heartbreaking news to TUKO.co.ke, revealing that the family is devastated by her sudden and untimely demise.
“She was so young and full of dreams. We never imagined we would lose her like this,” Linus said.
The accident reportedly occurred earlier this week, but details surrounding the circumstances remain unclear. Efforts are now underway to repatriate her body back to Kenya for burial.
The family is appealing for support from well-wishers to help cover the costs of transporting her remains and organizing a dignified sendoff.
Daisy’s death has sent shockwaves through her village, where she was known as a bright and ambitious young woman.
Community members have rallied around the grieving family, offering comfort and prayers as they come to terms with the tragic loss.
