A BBC report has claimed that Authorities in Kenya have blocked the broadcast of a documentary that discloses the identities of police officers involved in the shooting of protestors during the anti-tax demonstrations at the Parliament buildings in Nairobi last year.
The cancellation of the screening of the documentary has caused a lot of mixed reactions with a section of Kenyans condemning the move. Government allied leaders have defended the Government with some of them terming the report as fake.
CNN Journalist Larry Madowo is also among those that have reacted following the cancellation of the screening. Taking it to his official X page, the journalist stated that the decision by Authorities is pointless when the video has already been uploaded on Youtube with many views already.
Larry Madowo went further to state that the screning was only but meant for a few more dozen people. ”The documentary has 2.5 million views so far on YouTube so it’s pointless to block a screening for a few dozen people.” Stated the popular Journalist.
