Triza Njeri’s big debut took an unexpected turn when some supporters allegedly pulled back their mobile donations, leaving the singer in shock.
Gospel artist Triza Njeri kicked off her music career in grand style with a colorful album launch at Blue Springs Hotel along Thika Road on April 27. The event, which saw massive support both financially and emotionally, also sparked major drama soon after.
During a lively TikTok Live session alongside her best friend, Tatat Essy, Triza lamented that several fans had reversed the money they had donated through mobile platforms. In disbelief, the singer sarcastically laughed while reading out some of the names and amounts reversed.
“You decided to reverse the money? I still love you all, but honestly, what happened?” she quipped during the broadcast.
The buzz began after Triza’s estranged husband, Karangu Muraya, made a surprise appearance at the event. Not only did he show up to support her, but Karangu also donated KSh 200,000 and helped raise over KSh 500,000 from his friends. His presence caused a stir, especially given Triza’s earlier strong position against reconciling with him unless he left his second wife.
Many online speculators now believe that the public reunion with Karangu might have left some fans feeling betrayed — possibly prompting the reversal of donations.
However, Triza was quick to set the record straight after the event, making it clear that despite Karangu’s show of support, her position remains unchanged: she would only consider reconciliation if he chose her and her alone.
