On Sunday in Germany different athletes participated in the annual marathon and Kenya was well represented.
Kenya carried the day as different athletes won in different categories for both genders.
More important however is that Kenya broke another world record placing our title higher than it was.
Agnes Ngetich excited many people after her record breaking run at the Germany Marathon where she broke a 30 minutes record in the women 10km race.
Kenyans sent their congratulations to her and leaders could also be seen sending their congratulations on the internet.
The Russian government through its embassy to Kenya has joined other people around the world to congratulate Ngetich for her victory.
Through a post on X the embassy said that Ngetich’s victory at the Marathon was an impressive achievement.
“Congratulations to Agnes Ngetich! The first athlete to break 30 minutes record in a women-only 10 km. Impressive achievement!” The Russian embassy to Kenya said.
Kenya has been making headlines for years in the marathons and it is a good thing for us. It has helped our fame grow globally.
