What was meant to be a night of joy, laughter, and celebration turned into a horrifying crime scene after seven men were found dead following a birthday party in a quiet neighborhood on the outskirts of Nairobi.
According to police reports, the event, which was held in a private home, had been organized by close friends to celebrate one of their own turning 30. Everything seemed normal—music, food, drinks, and dancing—until the festivities came to an abrupt end under mysterious circumstances.
Neighbors reported hearing loud screams shortly after midnight, followed by an eerie silence. By morning, all seven organizers—young men between the ages of 25 and 33—were discovered lifeless in different rooms of the house. Police arrived at the scene and found no signs of forced entry, leading to speculation that the perpetrator(s) may have been part of the guest list.
“It’s a chilling scene. The bodies had no gunshot wounds, but there were signs of struggle and traces of an unknown substance in the victims’ drinks,” said a senior DCI officer at the scene.
While the exact cause of death is yet to be determined, investigators are considering poisoning as a possible explanation. Autopsies and toxicology reports have been ordered.
Families of the deceased are in shock. “They were full of life. These boys were like brothers,” said a grieving sister of one of the victims.
The bizarre case has ignited public interest and outrage, with many Kenyans demanding swift investigations and answers. Authorities are now reviewing CCTV footage, phone records, and social media posts from the night of the party to piece together the final moments.
As the mystery deepens, what was once a birthday celebration has become a national tragedy.
