Nakuru Siblings

After flying their parents to the coast last month, Ruth Chepkoech, 29, and her siblings—both from Kuresoi North in Nakuru County—won the public’s adoration.

In addition to being their first flight, the endearing vacation was also their first trip to Mombasa. According to Chepkoech, the excursion featured three days, of beachside lodging in addition to a picturesque Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) ride back home.

The brothers are now aiming for a greater dream: to accompany their parents to Israel on a pilgrimage. Since their father is a devout Christian, Chepkoech told TUKO.co.ke that he has always loved and dreamed of traveling to the Holy Land.

She said, “We’ve heard him talk about it since we were kids, and it’s still one of his biggest goals.” The siblings claim that this dream is more than just a vacation fantasy.

It is also profoundly spiritual and significant for their father, who has long aspired to see the Sea of Galilee, walk in Jesus’ footsteps, and pray at Jerusalem’s Western Wall.

They have already started saving and planning to make this spiritual adventure a reality after being inspired by the success of their trip to Mombasa.

“We intend to take them to Israel,” she said with assurance. “I do think we will succeed as well.” Despite their modest upbringing, the sisters think that goal-setting, teamwork, and optimism are important.

In addition to inspiring their family, their tale has served as a source of motivation, for other young professionals just starting their professions.
