Oscar Sudi, a Member of Parliament, addressed public claims about his academic background and performance in Parliament.
Speaking openly, Sudi stated, “Being at Parliament is not my job.
I’m not part of any committee and I have never spoken there. I focus on technical work.”
This statement came in response to widespread speculation regarding his educational qualifications.
While some individuals alleged that Sudi has never attended school, others claimed he pursued engineering at a university level.
Sudi confirmed the former, acknowledging the rumors as true. “People say I never went to school and that’s true.
I never claimed I did,” he said, dismissing the narrative that he had a university education.
Despite his limited academic background, Sudi emphasized his commitment to service delivery and development within his constituency.
He challenged critics to judge his performance based on the tangible impact of his work rather than his academic record.
“But if you visit my constituency, you’ll see the impact of the work I’m doing,” he affirmed.
His remarks sparked mixed reactions, with some defending his practical results over formal education, while others criticized his absenteeism in Parliament and lack of participation in legislative processes.
