Anselm

In a deeply moving interview, Apostle Anselm Madubuko, husband to celebrated gospel singer Emmy Kosgei, opened up about his past involvement in occult practices and Freemasonry.

Speaking on The Dr. Ofweneke Show, Madubuko recounted his early life as a nightclub and radio DJ in Enugu, Nigeria. At the age of 21, he was initiated into the Freemasons. By 23, he had risen to the rank of master mason.

His journey into darkness didn’t end there. While in university, he led a feared confraternity known as the Pirates. As “capon,” Madubuko admitted the group wielded destructive influence and operated with near-total impunity.

He revealed that he was so deeply entrenched in the cult world that even Christian Union members were too scared to approach him. “Everybody knew I was satan’s man,” he said, reflecting on how hopeless and lost he felt.

Despite the fame, money, and pleasures he had access to, Madubuko admitted there was an emptiness in his soul that nothing could satisfy. That all changed when a young man introduced him to Jesus.

At 25, Madubuko gave his life to Christ. That moment, he says, marked a powerful transformation—one that saved his life and gave him true peace.

Now a preacher, Madubuko shares his testimony as a warning against the allure of occult power and a message of hope through faith. His story is a testament to redemption and the power of divine grace.
