On Wednesday president William Ruto continued with his tour of the Mt Kenya region and he visited Meru and Kirinyaga counties.
Just like in Nyeri Ruto received a warm welcome with hundreds of people coming out to meet him.
The streets were flooded with the people as they listened to Ruto address them. Photos of the rally in Nyeri were shared on the internet and Kenyans were left talking.
However, Kenyans have checked one photo from the rally and noticed something odd. The photo which was taken in Meru on Wednesday shows Ruto surrounded by a big crowd.
When they zoomed the photo they noticed that the price of fuel displayed was very off from what we have today.
The price displayed that petrol and diesel were retailing at 142 and 161 which is very low to what we have today. The last time we saw those prices in our market was about four years ago.
Kenyans now believe that the photos from the rallies are manipulated to trick people that Ruto is getting a warm welcome in Mt Kenya while it is the opposite.
For quite sometime there have been speculations that photos are altered to trick Kenyans into believing that Ruto still has the numbers.
