An online poll carried out by Mt Kenya political Wahome Thuku has now revealed how Nyeri county residents are likely to vote in 2027.
The online poll which has been conducted by Wahome Thuku on his official Facebook account came just hours after President William Ruto toured the county on Tuesday, the 1st day of April.
On his Facebook account, Thuku who is now eying the Othaya Constituency MP seat in 2027 requested Nyeri county residents to use either a like or an hear emoji to show whether they will or will not vote for President William Ruto in 2027.
Wahome Thuku instructed residents who felt that they would vote for Ruto in 2027 to respond by commenting with a like while those who felt they would not be part of Ruto’s team to respond with heart.
The post attracted a total of 3300 reactions, out of which 2800 people confirmed that they will vote for Ruto in 2027. 487 people from people who reacted said they would not vote for Rutu. 35 of the votes were spoilt.
This however, cannot be used as an accurate feeling in Nyeri county as reactions included residents from outside Nyeri county. The President was overwhelmingly received by residents in Laikipia and Nyeri counties as he officially kicked off his development tour.
