Ruto h P

When President William Ruto visited Meru on the second day of his nine-day tour of the Mount Kenya region, he was obviously impressed by the county’s new governor, Isaac Mutuma. Speaking confidently and clearly to an audience at Maua, Mutuma gained the President’s favour.

Mutuma took the opportunity to explain his intentions for Meru. Following the impeachment of former governor Kawira Mwangaza, he was sworn in a few days ago. In his talk, he addressed a number of significant subjects, including infrastructure, agriculture, and governance.

By reaffirming his commitment to stability and service delivery, he gave the county government a fresh start. Ruto, who has been mingling with local leaders and individuals throughout Mount Kenya, took note of Mutuma’s address and openly applauded his style of leadership. The President emphasised the importance of collaboration and effective governance while urging county leaders to focus on development.

Meru, which is well-known for its agricultural skills, particularly in the area of miraa cultivation, is still an important part of Kenya’s economy.

Many people are curious about how Mutuma will address the challenges left by his predecessor’s controversial term, as the recent leadership shift has attracted national attention.
