A senior female police officer has reportedly passed away after collapsing at her home in Juja, Kiambu County.
According to reports, Susan Mangiso Sarioyo, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), was inside a poultry house in her compound within Jacaranda Court Estate when she suddenly collapsed, causing panic among family members.
Relatives raised alarm attracting the attention of neighbours who rushed to the scene and found the officer had already lost her life.
Family members confirmed that they had not noted any problem with her the previous day and that she had been well.
Following her death, the officer’s body was transferred to the nearby morgue for preservation and postmortem. Meanwhile, detectives have since launched a probe to unravel the root cause of her death.
At the time of her demise, Susan was in charge of personnel at the Kasarani police sub-county.
Her untimely passing adds to a series of mysterious deaths reported among police officers in the country.
