Kenyan TV news anchor Mary Kilobi recently shocked many after never-before-seen photos of her pregnancy surfaced online. Kilobi, who is married to COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli, welcomed a baby boy after seven years of marriage.
The news came as a surprise to many Kenyans, who flooded social media with congratulatory messages. Gospel musician Anastacia Mukabwa was among the first to celebrate Kilobi’s new blessing.
“Finally, the God of wonders has done it for my sister, Mr. and Mrs. Mary Atwoli. Glory to God! Those who doubted you will now respect you, Mama Samuel,” Anastacia wrote on Facebook.
She also revealed that Kilobi’s son was named Samuel, meaning “God has heard,” signifying Kilobi’s long wait for a child.
“It was truly Kilobi’s prayer to have a child, and God has heard her,” Mukabwa added.
