Barely two weeks after Orange Democratic Movement Party Leader Hon Raila Odinga signed a working agreement with President Dr William Samoei Arap Ruto, signs of his growing political influence have begun to emerge.
Hon Raila’s Capitol Hill office has reportedly become a hub of high-level meetings, hosting a series of diplomatic and political engagements that suggest his increasing relevance in the current administration.
Among the notable engagements, Raila has held talks with the UK High Commissioner to Kenya, E. Neil Wigan, and also met with the United States Charge d’Affaires Marc Dillard.
He further attended a high-profile state banquet held in honor of the visiting King of the Netherlands, signaling a notable shift in his diplomatic standing.
Raila is also reported to be regularly consulting with President Ruto at State House, while actively engaging with top government officials on a variety of national issues.
Additionally, he is taking up visible roles in sitting arrangements during national events, sitting next to the president.
This new level of access and engagement underscores his renewed political clout and the evolving dynamics within the Kenya Kwanza administration.
