Speaking in Kajiado, Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni criticized Raila Odinga for not informing Azimio allies about his deal with President William Ruto.
Kioni expressed disappointment that Raila secretly negotiated a political pact with Ruto without consulting his former coalition partners. He claimed Raila has gained significant influence in Ruto’s government through key appointments.
According to Kioni, Raila has secured five Cabinet Secretary positions, several Principal Secretary posts, and parliamentary leadership roles. He argued that these appointments have effectively handed Raila control over Ruto’s administration.
Kioni alleged that Raila has completely overturned the government to his advantage. He suggested that Ruto’s administration now operates under Raila’s political influence.
Kioni warned that if Raila withdraws from the arrangement, Ruto’s government will collapse and crumble down. He insisted that Raila’s presence is the only thing keeping Ruto’s administration stable.
His remarks reflect growing tensions within the former Azimio coalition over Raila’s new political direction.
