The burial ceremony for the three children who tragically lost their lives in a road accident in Kimunye, Kirinyaga County was disrupted after chaos erupted. The chaos occurred after the presiding Bishop from Full Gospel Church was confronted by netizens and politicians aligned with Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Tensions flared after the Bishop refused to allow Kamau Murango, Njeri Maina and David Mathenge who are followers of the former DP to address the crowd on issues concerning the Social Health Authority (SHA).
According to witnesses, the Bishop’s refusal to allow any political discourse caused an uproar among the attendees, particularly those with strong political affiliations to Gachagua.
This issues has raised concerns among netizens on social media as questions arise on whether politics should be allowed to play in funerals as they have previously led to disruption of such ceremonies forget affecting the bereaved families.
