In a touching act of generosity, comedian Eric Omondi has pledged to rebuild a kiosk for Rebecca Lwanyi, a small scale vendor in Westlands whose stall was recently vandalized. Rebecca’s kiosk, located near the ABC Place roundabout, was her primary source of income, where she sold snacks, beverages, and confectioneries. The destruction of her business left her devastated, with no means to provide for her family.

After viral images and videos of the demolished kiosk surfaced online, Omondi and his Sisi Kwa Sisi team visited Rebecca to assess the damage. Moved by her plight, he committed not only to reconstructing her stall but also to upgrading it into a more permanent and secure structure. Rebecca revealed that her business had been instrumental in paying rent, educating her children, and meeting daily expenses.

Omondi took to social media to rally support, urging well wishers to contribute to Rebecca’s cause. He highlighted the importance of community solidarity in times of crisis, sharing her contact details for direct assistance.

This initiative aligns with Omondi’s ongoing philanthropic efforts, which have included supporting struggling Kenyans, fundraising for those in need, and advocating for social justice. His commitment to uplifting vulnerable communities continues to inspire many.

Rebecca expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming support, saying the assistance would help her rebuild her livelihood and secure her family’s future. The initiative spearheaded by Omondi is a testament to the power of collective goodwill in transforming lives.
