Essy slammed TikTokers who led Triza’s fundraiser, accusing them of scheming to take a portion of the KSh 1 million raised. She insisted that Triza would not share any of the money, as it was intended to help her rebuild her life.Lady Jacqueline, one of the fundraiser organisers, denied the claims, accusing Tata of manipulating Triza and using her for personal gain.
Brand ambassador and social media creator Tata Essy wa Willy has strongly criticised TikTokers who allegedly want a share of the KSh 1 million raised for Karangu Muraya’s estranged first wife, Triza. Tata Essy claims TikTokers want a cut of the money raised for Triza Njeri.
Do TikTokers want to share Triza’s money? Speaking during a recent TikTok live session, Essy claimed that some TikTokers who spearheaded the fundraiser had been plotting how they would get a percentage of the amount. However, she made it clear that Triza would not be giving out even a single coin to anyone.
Essy revealed that just as she took Triza in when her marriage fell apart, they collectively resolved that the money would remain untouched in Triza’s account. She emphasised that the funds were meant to help Triza rebuild her life, start a business, and gain financial independence.
“Tell them that the money they wanted us to send over to them, we will not send. Not even a single cent. We cannot stay on TikTok live for three days raising money for Triza only for people to demand KSh 100,000 each. The money will stay in her bank account, and she can use it however she wants, whether for food, clothes, or anything else.
They cannot buy me, let alone for KSh 100,000. That money belongs to Triza, and she can do whatever she wants with it. Hatuwapei hata ng’o,” Essy exclaimed. The fundraiser was initiated to support Triza after she publicly shared her struggles in marriage shortly after parting ways with Karangu Muraya.
The contributions, made by Kenyans at home and abroad, were collected within just two days. TikTokers clap back at Tata Essy for claiming that they are demanding KSh 100k from Triza’s money.
What did TikTokers say? TikTokers who led the fundraiser, including Lady Jacqueline, who runs the popular TikTok Court, dismissed Tata Essy’s allegations. Jacqueline denied ever requesting money from Triza, accusing Essy of manipulating the situation for her own selfish interests.
Additionally, she stated that if she were to ask for money, it would not be KSh 100,000 because that amount was too little for her. Furthermore, she criticised Essy for continuing to house Triza, arguing that she should be allowed to move out and find her own space to reflect on her situation without external influence.
“Right now, she is under the influence of Tata Essy. She is going around lying that we borrowed her KSh 100,000 from the money we raised for Triza. Tata Essy is only using Triza for her own selfish needs,” Jacqueline stated.
Has Triza landed a lucrative brand deal? TUKO.co.ke also highlighted that Triza recently revealed she had secured a major deal, just days after breaking down in tears on TikTok.
On February 21, the mother of three was seen signing documents with Stayscanners. Staycanners is a platform that links local hosts with travellers looking for personalised and unique accommodation experiences.
