Francis Gaitho has raised concerns about the increasing presence of mainstream media content, especially from Citizen TV on social media platforms.

Gaitho, who often shares his thoughts on current issues, recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his surprise at the growing number of accounts posting clips and updates from Citizen TV.

According to Gaitho, social media is meant to be a space where people find alternative content, share personal experiences, and engage with different opinions.

However, he has noticed that this is changing. More and more accounts are now pushing content from mainstream television stations, which he believes could be a sign of a bigger plan behind the scenes.

“What is going on? Who is paying for this?” Gaitho asked his followers. He suggested that it might not be a natural trend but rather a well organized effort to get more people to watch Citizen TV’s content through social media.

He believes traditional media houses could be struggling to keep viewers on their regular platforms like TV. As a result, they might be turning to social media to find new audiences.

Gaitho’s biggest concern is that social media could lose its value as a space for independent voices if it becomes flooded with content from big media houses. He fears that smaller creators and ordinary users could be pushed aside.

While Gaitho did not accuse anyone directly, his questions have left many wondering if there is a hidden strategy to control what people see online. He called on his followers to stay alert and not let social media become just another version of traditional TV.
