Sombre mood engulfed Tembelio Ward in Uasin Gishu county as a young student was being laid to rest in an emotional send-off.
According to the source, the deceased identified as Cornelius Ruto Kipkorir was a student at Deakin University in Melbourne. Sources revealed that he was found dead in the car. Cornelius was the son of Mr Samuel Kiprotich Ruto and Mrs Eunice Ruto. The body was expatriated from Australia for burial at his parents home Moiben sub-county. Hundreds of mourners gathered at his parent’s home to bid farewell to the departed soul. Tembelio Ward Member of County Assembly was among the politicians who joined mourners in the burial ceremony.
Cornelius was eulogized as a humble gentleman who had a bright future. He died at the age of 26 years. The family revealed that they are still waiting for police officers in Australia to complete investigation on what transpired before their son was found dead. His presence will be missed by relatives and friends back at Deakin University.
