Following her meeting with the African first ladies in Ethiopia, First Lady Rachel Ruto released a statement.
African leaders come together to shape the continent’s future at the AU General Assembly, she said, making it a crucial occasion for Africa.
She went on to say that she is honored to be joining other First Ladies of Africa in promoting women’s rights and leadership as they gather in Ethiopia. This mission will be the main focus of the 29th OAFLAD General Assembly.
She claims that as First Ladies, they are collaborating to develop long-lasting solutions in four major areas: gender-based violence, health, education, and women’s economic empowerment. The new OAFLAD strategic framework for 2025–2030, which will be introduced in the General Assembly, is also built upon these pillars.
But for this significant event, she traveled to Addis Ababa today with her husband, His Excellency President Dr. William Ruto. #OAFLAD2025.
Reactions from Kenyans;
Siding claimed that those who had stolen Mzee’s votes were in Addis Ababa attempting to install him as the chair of the AUC.
“Now wait for that big embarrassment, and best of luck to the Djibouti candidate.” Daniel Dan said.
“So what are you working for? Do these trips benefit our common mwananchi?” Juma watala said.
