Gachagua’s ally has reacted to reports that some ODM MPs are planning to travel to Wamunyoro to meet with Gachagua after Wetangula ruled against them in the national assembly. Wahome Thuku used the same words as the MPs, stating, “ODM MPs heading to Wamunyoro.” Kenya’s political landscape remains charged and dynamic, as evidenced by recent developments involving the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party and the Kenya Kwanza coalition.

Azimio leaders have announced a planned visit to Wamunyoro, which is viewed as a strategic move in light of the ongoing political tensions. The purpose of this visit may be to negotiate or to gather support.

With 165 MPs to Azimio’s 154, Speaker Moses Wetangula announced that the Kenya Kwanza coalition now holds the majority in Parliament. Power dynamics and legislative procedures will be significantly impacted by this change in majority status.

Members of Parliament from Azimio staged a walkout in response to Wetangula’s declaration. This action makes a powerful political statement about the two coalitions’ deep divisions and ongoing disputes.

According to reports, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was to meet with MPs from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), a significant Azimio coalition party, in Wamunyoro. Potential strategic discussions or negotiations may be indicated by this meeting.

The legislative agenda and the capacity to enact laws may be greatly impacted by Kenya Kwanza’s designation as the majority party.

Azimio is reportedly looking for ways to offset Kenya Kwanza’s recent majority status, as evidenced by the scheduled trip to Wamunyoro and the meeting with Rigathi Gachagua.

The responses from different people demonstrate how divisive Kenyan politics are and how important these political ploys are.
