A shocking case has emerged in Ruai involving a woman linked to a sitting MP. She was allegedly taken from her home by people claiming to be police officers. The attackers, who arrived at her residence at night, were looking for a large sum of money reportedly tied to her estranged partner.
According to her report, the men forced their way into her bedroom and took about Ksh2.2 million. They then dragged her out and pushed her into a silver Toyota Allion. Instead of taking her to a police station, they drove around different locations, including Ruai and Mwiki. She was never formally arrested or charged.
During the hours she was held, she was allegedly tortured and threatened. The kidnappers kept pressuring her to reveal more money. Eventually, in the early morning, they dropped her back home. Local police have since launched an investigation into the matter.
Authorities from Kamulu Police Station are handling the case. Preliminary findings suggest two officers from Njathaini Police Station may have been involved. Another man, whose identity remains unclear, is also suspected of playing a role in the abduction.
The incident has raised serious concerns about misuse of power. Many are calling for those responsible to be arrested and charged. Investigators are working to gather more details and establish whether this was an authorized operation or an abuse of authority.
