Renowned journalist Larry Madowo has taken to his social media pages to reveal how his journalism career makes him travel more than a pilot.
In a video he posted on his Instagram account while at Entebe International airport in Uganda, Larry says he has managed to be in four East African countries in just 6 days.
For Larry, he was in Dar el Salaam, Tanzania until Friday and came to Nairobi , Kenya for weekends. From Kenya he travelled to Kigali, Rwanda on Monday and returned to Nairobi for six hours and he later travelled to Uganda. He was accompanied by his friend Febian Muhire whom he toured with.
Indeed he is travelling more than a pilot just like he did put it.
While reporting for CNN, Larry was in Rwanda where he met the President of Rwanda to talk about the looming war that is happening in Goma,Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC). He also posted on his Instagram account videos of his conversation with Rwandan President Paul Kagame.
Paul Kagame talked to him saying that he has nothing to do with the war but also blamed other countries of fueling the war so as to take advantage of the situation and obtain the minerals in DRC. He mentioned South Africa for doing so.
Kagame also denied that his troops aren’t in DRC supporting the M23 group which is causing war in DRC. For him he is ready to defend Rwanda over any enemy.
Larry Madowo is a Kenyan. He started his career in Nairobi as a trainee reporter at KTN. He quit KTN to became a Business Anchor at NTV Kenya.He has also worked with CNBC Africa where he reported business and financial news. In March 2018, Larry resigned from the NTV station to join BBC.
