In his post, he captioned, “Glad to join the fraternity of Jamhuri High School in celebrating 120 years of the school’s existence.”

The celebration marks a significant milestone for the institution, which is also launching a Ksh. 120 million Endowment Fund in 120 days.

This fund will support infrastructure development, student bursaries, and the establishment of a Digital Hub, among other important projects.

Jamhuri High School, widely known as “Jamuu,” has long been a cornerstone of education in Nairobi.Its nickname, “Dukes,” is well recognized among its alumni. Before Kenya’s independence, the school, located in Ngara, Nairobi, primarily catered to the Indian community, then known as the Government Indian School.

Today, Jamhuri High stands as the second oldest school in Nairobi and the largest day secondary school in Kenya.

Notable alumni include former Chief Justice Majid Cockar, former Industrial Court Judge Saeed Rahman Cockar, and veteran journalist Salim Lone.
