After the reception he received in Kieni today from the people of Nyeri, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki was left reeling. The second in command was taken aback by the warm response he received while visiting the area to monitor a road project.
DP Kindiki was thrilled when some of the people who had gathered to greet him began cheering as he got into his car to speak to the gathering. DP Kindiki alluded to his astonishment at the enthusiastic response he received before starting his speech.
Ala, wah! Hello, Kieni? Hello, Kieni? What is Watuka? What’s that, Watuka? Na Charity? Endarasha na? Mbona mmekuja kwa leo wingi hivi?” Kindiki exclaimed as the audience erupted in applause.
This occurred today in Watuka, Kieni, where Kindiki came to check on the ongoing work to upgrade Endarasha, Charity-Gakanga-Embaringo-Kimunyuru-Junction D447-Mweiga-Mairo Roads to bitumen standards.
“Inspected the ongoing works on upgrading to bitumen standard and performance based routine maintenance of Endarasha-Charity- Gakanga- Embaringo- Kimunyuru- Junction D447-Mweiga- Mairo roads, Kieni Constituency, Nyeri County at a cost of Ksh. 2.3B.” Partially reads an update from Kindiki.
