Tuesday, the 28th of January, was indeed a special day for popular TV47 presenter Steve Jacob Maunda alias Shatta Bway.
This is because on the day, his son by the moniker of Jahim, officially turned 14-years-old.
Like any other loving father out there who is usually proud of the milestones of his kids, Shatta Bway was also proud of his son’s milestone, and therefore he celebrated his birthday in style.
The Reggae emcee infact took to his Facebook account and penned his son a heartwarming birthday message, in which he showered him with praises whilst also remembering how he became a dad for the first time courtesy of Jahim.
In the message, Shatta Bway also remembered his late wife Rebecca Kukuton, and said that she was still watching over their son from up above.
“Son, did you know that when I had you, i was only four years older than you are today?
The first thing you did was change my name to Baba Jahim – a title that came with immense responsibility for an 18-year-old boy. When life felt impossible, you gave it meaning. The pride I felt when you first called me Dad is the same pride I feel today.
I know that Mom, watching from Heaven, smiles everyday as she sees the responsible young man her Ltesekwa is becoming.
The greatest gift I can give you is to be your best role model – because iron sharpens iron.
Happy 14th Birthday, Son!” He said.
Jahim is actually the first-born child that Shatta Bway sired with his now late wife Rebecca Kukuton.
The two however also sired a daughter, who is now already grown.
Speaking about Rebecca Kukuton, it can be remembered that she unfortunately passed away on the 25th of June, 2023, while receiving treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital.
The beautiful queen was later buried at her home in Mukaa, Makueni County.
