Mombasa-based media personality and LGBTQ+ activist, Manzi wa Mombasa, is celebrating the birth of her son, whom she named Brian Chira in honor of her late best friend.
The proud mother revealed her emotional journey, including selling a piece of land to raise KSh 600,000 for an IVF procedure.
Speaking to the press, the outspoken lesbian reiterated that she and Chira were never romantically involved, emphasizing they shared a deep platonic bond.
“We were like family, and naming my son after him is my way of keeping his memory alive,ā she said.
Manzi wa Mombasa, who is now a mother of three, highlighted her unwavering commitment to supporting her childrenās life choices.
She boldly stated, āIf my son chooses to be gay in the future, I will stand by him. I want him to grow up in a home full of love and acceptance.ā
