Popular Kikuyu musician Muigai Wa Njoroge has called out his fellow artist, Ngaruiya Junior, for his disrespectful behavior towards others. The incident occurred during Karangu’s Thanksgiving event, where Muigai publicly addressed Ngaruiya’s actions, urging him to change his ways.
Ngaruiya has recently come under fire for his conduct during public events. In one incident, he grabbed microphones from MCs Kihenjo and Kajim at an event hosted by Samy K, causing chaos and disrupting the proceedings. In another event, Ngaruiya pushed fellow Kikuyu artist Kinyanya off the stage just as he was about to perform. The push reportedly caused Kinyanya to sustain injuries.
These actions have drawn widespread criticism, with many accusing Ngaruiya of arrogance and a lack of respect for others. Addressing the matter, Muigai Wa Njoroge did not hold back. He warned Ngaruiya that pride and disrespect would ultimately ruin his career if he failed to change his attitude.
“Pride will take you nowhere,” Muigai told Ngaruiya. “If you want to succeed, you must respect other people. Remember, it is God who gave you this talent, and He can take it back if you continue with this behavior.”
In a bid to resolve the conflict, Muigai also facilitated a reconciliation between Ngaruiya and Kinyanya. He encouraged Kinyanya to forgive Ngaruiya and advised both artists to work together harmoniously.
Muigai’s message resonated with many, as he emphasized the importance of humility and respect in building a successful and lasting career. His remarks serve as a lesson to all artists about the value of maintaining professionalism and treating others with kindness.
