Earlier, chaos erupted in the Duka Moja area along the Mai Mahiu-Narok road, especially after a group of herders took to the public to protest, after their sheep was killed in a fatal accident. Police officers immediately arrived at the place to calm the protestors, but things turned sour after the Maasai protestors attacked them.
According to sources, one person was killed and nine police officers were injured during the incident. While running to save their lives, an officer lost his hand after it was chopped off by a sword. The incident left him with severe pain, and after minutes of bleeding, he was airlifted to Kenyatta National Hospital for treatment.
Earlier, the officer was discharged and photos of him recuperating at home emerged. One image displayed him carrying his son happily. Kenyans on social media came across the images, and they flocked to express their views. Below is a few of their comments;
