The Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) marked a significant milestone in the Kenyan music industry with a star-studded celebration of renowned Mugithi artist Jose Gatutura, popularly known as Mashette the King.

The event, taking place at Safari Park Hotel & Casino in Nairobi, is a celebration of Gatutura’s 10 years of success as a member of MCSK.

Leading the celebrations were MCSK CEO Dr. Ezekiel Mutua, who commended the artist for his contribution to the Kenyan music scene.

“Jose Gatutura has become a household name in Kenya, and his dedication to music has helped shape the Mugithi genre,” said Dr. Mutua.

He was joined by prominent political figures, including Machakos County Governor Hon. Wavinya Ndeti, Nyandarwa County Governor Hon. Dr. Moses Badilisha, and Wiper Party leader Hon. Dr. Kalonzo Musyoka.

The event was also attended by several government officials, dignitaries, and musicians from various parts of the country.

The evening’s highlights included a watch party for Gatutura’s latest music video, alongside the highly anticipated launch of two new tracks.
