Jacque Nyaminde popularly known as Wilbroda is a Kenyan actress and a radio presenter. She has narrated how she met with Awinja Nyamwalo whose real name is Jacque Vike.
Awinja came into the limelight after the role she played in “Papa Shirandula”
During an interview with Oga Obinna, Wilbroda said she considers Awinja as her best friend both on screen and off screen.
She revealed that she was not comfortable about Awinja being cast to join Citizen TV’s popular show “Papa Shirandula”
“My friendship with Vike started when she was cast in “Papa Shirandula “. When she first started I remember going to the producer and asking him why she had been brought because she did not know how to act. She was shy and it showed. The thing is, I lack patience and I felt that she was wasting me,” said Wilbroda.
She continued to say that she felt dragged by Awinja who she described as highly timid.
“She was green and she felt she couldn’t portray the character well. Papa used to encourage her, telling her she had it in her to play the character and should try it out. Look at her now and how she lives off the character- driving big cars,” She added.
“The producer kept asking me to give her time,” she added.
She revealed how her relationship with Awinja developed and blossomed.
“Our relationship developed because we were in several scenes together. We became so close that we had to be separated when on set. It has remained like that until now. When we are together, we chat alot. We talk about everything. We are the kind if we have money, we call each other to lend should the other be broke,” said Wilbroda.
