Earlier, footballer Ezekiel Otuoma succumbed to motor neurone disease, after struggling with it for years. His sudden lose left many with sadness, as they had hopes of seeing him walking again. The footballer was laid to rest in his village home in Siaya, and many flocked to bid him farewell.
After the burial, his wife Rachel revealed that she was planning to start life again, as Otuoma is no longer there. Speaking in a Tiktok live, Rachel revealed she would start by shaving her hair, as a widow is required to do so, as a symbol of a fresh start in Luo culture.
Despite of being advised to take time and heal from the loss, the widow disclosed that it always hurts to sit and think about Otuoma. She is now planning to look for a job, and get busy with work. According to her, she has already accepted a job she is supposed to work on.
“There’s also a vacation coming up that a company has offered us, and we will be going soon. I just want to keep moving, not sit around because these thoughts will kill me. I need to be busy” She stated.
Rachel further expressed the desire of moving on with her life and healing emotionally. We wish her all the best.
