Renowned Kenyan journalist Larry Madowo has celebrated his younger sister, Liz Madowo, as she turns a year older.Despite his busy schedule in the US, Larry made time to celebrate his sister on Instagram, sharing a heartfelt post and a photo of the two smiling together.
“Happy birthday to the daughter of my mother, the ultimate rich auntie Liz Madowo,” Larry wrote, praising her as the beauty and brains of the family.
Liz, who turned 33, marked the occasion by sharing a stunning photo on her social media, wearing a red dress and simply captioning it, “This is 33.”
Not much is publicly known about Liz, who leads the Kenyan branch of Irvine Partners Public Relations and Integrated Marketing Agency.
The agency, founded in the UK in 2010, focuses on strategic media planning and global brand visibility, with branches in Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa.
Liz’s role involve developing effective communication strategies for clients, media monitoring, and maintaining strong relationships with journalists, editors, and bloggers.Beyond her career, she is passionate about humanitarian causes, recently raising awareness about thrombosis (blood clots) and its global impact.
A graduate of Moi University with a degree in Business Administration and Management, Liz began her career in public relations at Diana Opoti PR.
She later worked as a project coordinator for the Young Designers Project funded by the Danish Embassy and became the Operations Director at Designing Africa Collective in 2018.
For the past five years, Liz Madowo has been managing Irvine Partners’ Kenyan operations, proving her prowess in public relations and strategic communication.
