Cabinet Secretary of Ministry of Environment Hon Aden Duale has responded to former president Uhuru Kenyatta after the former head of state declared his support for the youths. Uhuru Kenyatta in his address to young Kenyans, informed them to continue fighting for their rights and resist any form of intimidation.
While speaking from his Garrissa county political backyard, Environment Cabinet Secretary Hon Aden Duale informed all leaders both present and former to avoid inciting the youths against President William Samoei Ruto government. He also said all leaders both present and past must guide their children and advise them to stay away from acts of violence and civil disobedience.
The former Cabinet Secretary of Ministry of Defense further stated that he has five sons, and he has never incited them to cause chaos against the government. Duale also said that despite their political affiliation, leaders must not incite the youths to cause political stability in the country.
“When you stand before young people our Gen Zs you must as a leader you have moral responsibility because all leaders are parents, and you lead the country do not ask young people and encourage them to commit acts of violence. Encourage them to keep peace and stability of our country”. Aden Duale said.
This comes after former president Uhuru Kenyatta while speaking during burial ceremony of his cousin Kibathi Muigai, urged the youths to fight for their rights and protect their property from being grabbed by some individuals. Uhuru Kenyatta further threw his weight behind the young people, saying they are the future of Kenya.
He also asked his daughter Ngina Kenyatta to join the Gen Z Movement to hold the government accountable and encourage good governance.
